The Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation (EOCN) took part in the first edition of the Biosecurity Forum, organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in Dubai, with wide participation from government entities and international experts.

The EOCN contributed to the session titled “National Policies and Legislation as a Cornerstone of Biosecurity: Reality and Aspirations,” where its representatives emphasized the importance of developing regulatory frameworks, keeping pace with global developments, and strengthening alignment between national and international obligations to ensure the UAE’s readiness to address cross-border biological risks.

The Office’s participation comes as part of its ongoing efforts to support the national biosecurity system and enhance preparedness and proactiveness in addressing future challenges, in line with the National Biosecurity Framework 2023–2032.
