During its’ second meeting of 2026, the National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing adopted a package of strategic decisions aimed at developing the national framework. The decisions included the approval of the public edition of the “UAE Proliferation Financing National Risk Assessment”. This step represents a qualitative leap toward increasing the private sector’s understanding of proliferation financing risks and enhancing the readiness of competent authorities to address evolving risks.
